Sectors
Survey without possession.
Possession time is the scarce resource on the railway. Anything that puts people on or near the track has to be booked, planned and paid for long before the work itself, and the cost of the access usually exceeds the cost of the inspection.
Drone survey removes a substantial part of that. Structures are captured from outside the operational railway, without scaffolding, rope access or track access.
Where it applies
Bridges, viaducts, tunnel portals, stations, retaining walls and lineside structures. Condition survey, defect mapping and survey grade point cloud capture.
Cargo systems also move tools and materials to lineside locations without road access, which avoids booking a possession for a delivery.
What we have delivered
Survey grade LiDAR platforms capturing bridge and viaduct structures for Network Rail contractors, without track possession or rope access.
What we provide
Platforms specified around the sensor and the data standard required, payload integration where the sensor has not previously been flown, support through your CAA permission, pilot training, and parts and repair from the United Kingdom.
Tell us the structures, the data standard and the access constraints. We will specify the sensor first and the platform second.
