Inspecting live assets without taking them out of service.

An outage to inspect is an outage that costs. Overhead lines, substations and insulators can be surveyed while energised, which turns inspection from a planned interruption into routine work.

It also removes the climb. Towers, poles and gantries are surveyed from the air, so nobody has to climb them.

Where it applies

Overhead lines, substations and insulators are surveyed for corona discharge and for thermal faults on connections, transformers and plant, while the asset remains energised. The same approach covers visual condition survey across assets dispersed over open country, where the time cost is in reaching them rather than in the inspection itself.

Cargo systems carry tools and components to those same locations, avoiding a long road journey or a vehicle route that does not exist.

What we provide

We start from what the work has to produce. For inspection that means the data required: what you need to detect, to what standard, and in what conditions. For cargo it means the payload: what has to be carried, how heavy it is and how far it has to go.

Those requirements determine the platform, and we specify it accordingly. We also provide support through your CAA permission, pilot training, and servicing, maintenance and repair carried out in our own workshop in the United Kingdom.

Tell us the assets, the defects you need to find and the access constraints. We will advise on what is required.
